For mechanics

Your state regulation allows a licensed and certified mechanic to bypass our unit so they may start and stop your vehicle without causing violations on your reports. Below is the information you should give your mechanic:

• Only licensed mechanics and dealerships are able to bypass an interlock device.
  
• The mechanic MUST call 866-385-5900 opt 2, from the landline of the business for instructions, so we can verify the licensed mechanic per state regulations. Mobile mechanics calling from a cell phone will not receive bypass instructions. Additionally, we cannot give bypass instructions to relatives or friends.
• The vehicle owner is solely responsible for all actions by the mechanic. If the mechanic does not call or follow  instructions to correctly bypass the interlock device and such action causes damage to the unit or violations, the client is responsible.
• After the service, the mechanic is responsible to properly reverse the process or risks violating state regulations and will be subject to the penalties there of.
